What would you like to order?
Start with what you want to receive. We can quote the bare boards for your own lab or a PCB assembly build with the parts and operations you specify.

Bare PCB prototypes
Custom circuit boards made from your fabrication files, ready for your team to assemble and evaluate.
- Your board outline, layers, material and finish
- The sample quantity your tests need
- Your specified inspection and report requirements
- Individual boards or an agreed assembly panel
For circuit bring-up and testing
Assembled prototypes
Add PCB assembly when you need boards populated with components for debugging, firmware work or evaluation.
- Fabrication and assembly in one project request
- Component sourcing or customer-supplied parts
- BOM variants and do-not-fit instructions
- Programming or functional tests when agreed
Learn from a physical build
Find what needs to change before the next order.
Prototypes help turn layout assumptions into things your team can inspect and measure. Choose the board and assembly scope around the questions you need to answer.
- Mechanical fit
- Check the outline, mounting points, connectors and enclosure clearances.
- First assembly
- Evaluate component access, footprints, orientation and the fitted configuration.
- Circuit evaluation
- Use populated boards for power-up, firmware, signal or thermal testing under your application conditions.
- Design revision
- Record the changes you want in the next build and keep the released files identifiable.

Match the sample to your design
Which PCB prototype do you need?
A simple board and a dense multilayer design need different build information. Tell us what matters to your application so the prototype can represent the design you intend to evaluate.
| Your design | What the prototype supports | Useful quotation details |
|---|---|---|
| Rigid FR-4 PCB | General circuit development, a mechanical sample or a first assembled build. | Dimensions, layers, thickness, copper, holes, finish and quantity. |
| Multilayer PCB | Denser routing and the intended power, ground and signal-layer arrangement. | Layer order, material grade, dielectric thickness and fabrication notes. |
| Controlled impedance | A build with specified transmission-line requirements. | Targets, tolerance, relevant layers and requested measurement reports. |
| Flex or rigid-flex PCB | Packaging, installation and interconnections that use flexible sections. | Flex areas, stackup, stiffeners, bend conditions and mechanical drawings. |
| RF, HDI or thermal designs | A prototype using the material, via or substrate construction your application requires. | Named materials, via structure, copper or thermal requirements and the intended tests. |

Cost and turnaround
Get a quote for the samples you actually need.
Use one clear build brief to compare quantities and options. Your quotation should identify the board construction, included services, any one-time charges and the proposed schedule.
- Board size, quantity and construction
- Layers, laminate, copper, holes and surface finish affect the build cost. If several quantities would work, ask us to quote those options separately.
- Components and assembly
- For populated boards, the BOM, component supply and assembly scope belong in the same request. Tell us which parts need sourcing and which you will provide.
- Tests and supporting records
- Include the measurements, reports, programming or functional checks your team needs so they are accounted for in the quotation.
Your quotation package
Send your files. Tell us what you want to build.
Keep the files on one revision and include the sample quantity, delivery destination and target arrival date. Mark preliminary files and open questions clearly.
For bare PCB prototypes
- Gerber artwork, drill data and board outline
- Layer stack, material and finished thickness
- Copper thickness, finish and fabrication drawing
- Impedance targets and special hole requirements
- Inspection, measurement and report requirements
Adding PCB assembly?
- BOM with manufacturer part numbers and reference designators
- Placement coordinates for the fitted components
- Assembly drawings, polarity and do-not-fit notes
- Parts to be sourced or supplied by your team
- Firmware, programming and agreed test instructions
PCB prototype FAQs
A few answers before you order.
Can I order just a few prototype boards?
Tell us how many boards your development and test teams need. If you are choosing between sample quantities, request separate quotation options. The quotation will confirm the quantity and applicable order terms for your construction.
How much will my PCB prototypes cost?
Pricing follows your actual design, quantity and requested services. Send the files and specifications so the quotation can include fabrication, any assembly or sourcing, test requirements and delivery arrangements.
How quickly can I receive them?
Share your required arrival date and destination. Lead time depends on the agreed build, file readiness and any component sourcing or assembly work. Confirm the proposed schedule and shipping arrangement before planning your tests.
Can I get help while the design is still being finalized?
Yes. Send the current files and explain the choices you have not settled, such as material, layer stack or assembly scope. Preliminary information can start the discussion; the final requirements and revision need approval before fabrication.
Can you supply populated prototypes?
Request PCB fabrication and assembly together. Add your BOM, placement data, assembly drawings and any test or programming instructions. Specify which components your team will supply and which need sourcing.
Does bare-board electrical testing prove the circuit works?
It checks connections and isolation against the agreed test data. Circuit function is evaluated after components are fitted and the board is powered and tested under the relevant application conditions. Specify functional tests separately when requesting assembly.
Can I move from prototypes to a repeat or larger order?
Reference the approved prototype revision and requested quantity. Identify changes to the PCB, BOM, material, tests or delivery needs so the new quotation and release use the intended configuration.
